The Government of the Republic of Uganda through Ministry of Water and Environment, has received funds to be used for the acquisition of Procurement of Contractor for Completion of 6No. Solar Powered Micro Irrigation Systems Phase I.
The Entity invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the provision of the above works.
Bidding shall be conducted in accordance with the proceedures contained in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003 (the Act) and the Regulations made under the Act and is open to all bidders.

The Government of the Republic of Uganda, represented by the Ministry of Water and Environment, has applied for financing in the amount of United States Dollars Ninety Million (US$ 90 million) from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) toward the cost of the Irrigation Schemes Development in Unyama, Namalu and Sipi Regions Project in Uganda, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for the works, goods and services to be procured under this project.
The Republic of Uganda has received financing from the Islamic Development Bank toward the cost of the Irrigation Schemes Development Project in Unyama, Namalu and Sipi Regions, Uganda and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultant services.
The Government of Uganda has received financing from the African Development Bank (ADB) hereinafter called the Bank toward the cost of the Farm Income Enhancement and Forest Conservation Programme - Project 2 (FIEFOC-2) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Procurement of Rice Value Addition Equipment. Bidding process will be governed by the Bank’s Procurement Framework, dated 15 Oct 2015.
The Government of Uganda has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Investing in Forests and Protected Areas for Climate Smart Development (IFPA-CD) Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services. The project is being implemented by the Ministry of Water and Environment (MWE, Lead Agency), the Uganda Wildlife Authority and the National Forestry Authority with the involvement of the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities in tourism-related activities and the Office of the Prime Minister in activities in the refugee-affected areas.
