The Ministry of Water and Environment through the Directorate of Water Development is the lead agency for the planning, development and management of Water supply and sanitation services in Uganda.  In its efforts to solve the water supply challenges in Kisoro district, the ministry of Water and Environment has planned to design a number of piped water supply and sanitation systems in the district. The ministry through Support to Small Towns Water and Sanitation protect therefore hired a consultant (M/S Kagga and Partners)  to carry out the assignments. A team from MWE has held a meeting with kisoro district MPs and local leaders together with stakeholders to introduce the consultant who is to begin works from the 3rd of August 2018 to May 2019.
 Issues and solutions where discussed and the leaders thanked the Ministry for the good work that has so far been done.
